People leaving CGTN (formerly CCTV Africa) include a TV news director Valentine Macharia from broadcast department ran by Hu Yu, a sports reporter, Celestine Karoney (the bureau chief told her she can go because she is overpaid) and a technical operator Hambert Mashua. This is just to mention a few who've been targeted to work for BBC from the station.
