Mediheal doctors & paramedics have not been paid for 4-5 months and have lamented that the hospital management is yet to communicate whether they’ll be paid their salaries or not.
In an interview with some of the doctors and a paramedic at the facility, threats and abuse from the hospital management have been the order of the day.
“We are really abused by the management of this facility with a blessing from the owner. Most of us can’t meet our daily needs and obligations like rent yet we are the same people making the hospital money. We see patients coming and millions made but we spend up to 5 months with no salaries and worse of it all, no efficient communication” Lamented the doctor.
Some of the courageous doctors who have openly complained have been fired, nyakundireport.com has learnt.
We have also been informed that work permits for many foreign staff have expired.
Mediheal Group of Hospitals, a venture owned by former MP Swarup Mishra, who was once accused of trading in human organs.
“Cyprian there is nothing like being broke. We work here and patients keep flowing in, we see the money we are making the hospital and they just need to pay in time so that we can happily treat their customers” A doctor added.
