More than 40 contractors stormed Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti’s office last month and tried to deny him access over unpaid dues. The workers claimed the county government owed them millions for work done.
They said most of their equipment, which was purchased on loan, is being auctioned since they are unable to clear their balances.
