The Jubilee party is under the spotlight for not paying eighteen months rent as auctioneers now seek to attach their property in order to clear the debt that keeps rising. This is after hackers took control of their Twitter account yesterday. According to the Kenya Farmers Association, they decided to go to court in order to seek auctioners help to recover their money in form of rent at Jubilee party headquarters located in the posh Milimani estate in the outskirts of Nakuru town. Nasioki Auctioneers, in a letter sent to them on November are under instructions to move with speed and recover the rent that keeps accruing each month with no hopes of payment
“Urgently and expeditiously proceed to levy distress for rent on behalf of our client KFA Ltd towards recovery of outstanding rent arrears of Sh939,600 as up to November 2018. Also collect your auctioneer’s charges from the tenant,” reads the letter in part.
The rent is for the period between May 2017 and October 2018. Jubilee was paying Ksh 52,200 per month till they started defaulting.
Jubilee party had been given 14 days to pay or be auctioned but the notice expired 9 days ago, we have learnt.
“You are hereby notified that the movable property is duly distrained and left in your custody for 14 days from today. At the expiry of this proclamation, the property shall be removed and sold at a public auction,” the notice read in part.
But auctioneers are worried because the property in the office is only 1/5 of the rent arrears.
“We have today proclaimed assorted office chairs, tables and other movables belonging to the tenant to be attached if need be. The goods are roughly valued at Sh200,000,” reads the firm’s schedule of movable property.

"That is a matter beyond me. The leaders at party headquarters are best placed to respond to the issue," said Mr Manyara.
