Tullow Oil Plc, is flouting labour laws by underpaying, downgrading and belittling its employees. According to a court document seen by CNYAKUNDI.COM, Tullow is accused of wrongful dismissal of an employee after he complained about disparity in salaries. The employee who was entitled to a salary of over Ksh. 200,000, was retained at Ksh. 90,000 even after being promoted in 2015. This is despite his predecessor, a Caucasian, earning over 330,000 shillings in the same role. Attempts to have his salary revised made him ‘enemies’.
