NAKURU COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD STOPPED BY LABOUR HIGH COURT FROM HIRING NEW EMPLOYEES.
A Nakuru high Court has stopped the Nakuru County Government from hiring new employees until a case filed by a group of casual workers who have served the county for more than 10 years without being confirmed to permanent and pensionable terms of service is heard and determined.
The casual workers, mostly stationed in Naivasha sub county enforcement department and Nakuru Town enforcement have been working tirelessly for the county but when it comes to employment the authorities have often overlooked them and only employs their relatives.
On the ongoing suitability interviews by the county board, the list that has been shared shows that 80% of the suitable recruits are people related to MCAs, county executives, and top county managers. This is well-known by the Casuals.
It is further alleged that some kinsmen of the top county manager and MCAs are already in training at the NYS Training Camp despite the county still floating the adverts for filling those positions.
Now, the crooked people at the County Headquarters are looking into ways to formalize the above-mentioned trainees into the County’s payroll. This is mean to hoodwink Kenyans that the process is transparent.
Copies in our possession have the list and orders of the same from both the county and Court.
