In a circulating internal memo dated 17th October 2022, the hospital's Director of Nursing Services Mr Edwards S Omondi stated that members of the nursing staff are not entitled to a public holiday if the said national event falls on their days off. “No Public Holiday (PH) shall be awarded if a holiday falls on your day off," the letter notes in part.
