Former Kenyan Judiciary spokesman lawyer Dola Indindis has appealed to the International Court of Justice to overturn the trial and conviction of Jesus Christ. ' His selective and malicious prosecution violated his human rights through judicial misconduct, abuse of office bias and prejudice,' the lawyer was quoted by a local tabloid In 2013, lawyer Dola Indindis's petition to overturn the death sentence swatted on the Christian Messiah shocked the globe.
And, 8 years after his first lawsuit was dismissed, the Kenyan lawyer has again dragged Israel and Italy to court over the killing of Jesus Christ.
Lawyer Dola Indindis says he has sufficient evidence and proof to defend the Christian defender and plans to use The Bible as a reference and written evidence in the case.
Amongst others, the lawyer has the Republic of Italy and the State of Israel as the main accused over the execution of the Christian Messiah.
Before turning to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) , the lawyer had-in 2007- his petition thrown out by the High Court in Nairobi.
Basing his argument on the New Testament,(of the Christian Bible) Indidis hopes to have the conviction and crucifixion of Jesus more than 2,000 years ago quashed. The BIBLE According to the New Testament, the Messiah ran into trouble after performing miracles and claiming he was the son of God, prompting Jewish authorities to arrest him on charges of blasphemy.
They brought Jesus to Pontius Pilate, then the Roman Governor of Judea, who told them he did not have jurisdiction to hear the case and sent him to King Herod, who sent him back to Pilate.
Pilate found Jesus not guilty of any charges but, after crowds of angry Jews called for Jesus to be executed, the governor gave in and had him crucified alongside two criminals.
According to Indindis, the lawyer representing Jesus at the ICJ, he is challenging the mode of questioning used during Jesus' trial.
The lawyer has also challenged the punishments meted out to his client while proceedings were still underway.
Jesus's lawyer will be using the Bible to challenge the substance of the information used to convict his client.
Lawyer Indindis wants the ICJ to declare that the proceedings before the Roman courts were a nullity in law for they did not conform to the rule of law at the material time and any time thereafter. The Kenyan lawyer will also be relying on the precedent set in the case of Joan of Arc, the peasant girl who proclaimed herself a warrior sent by God to deliver France from the English , whose trial and conviction was later found unsound.
" This is the same case with Jesus. The judge who sentenced him said that he had no jurisdiction to attend to the matter but he went ahead to convict and pass a capital sentence under duress," lawyer Indindis stated. While the Kenyan lawyer picks to defend the 'Christian Saviour' neither the petition nor Indidis's efforts are expected to be a success.
Just as Indindi's argument before the ICC, the ICJ does not have such legal jurisdiction too.
From where I sit and what I know, the International Court of Justice only has jurisdiction to hear claims that are brought by one state against another state.
