This will be the first time the East African side has qualified for the competition in 14 years. The last time being in 2004 under the captaincy of Dennis Oliech.

CAF also stripped hosting rights from Cameroon due to alleged “unpreparedness” although huge claims have suggested that Morocco gave the African footballing body a brown envelope in order to secure hosting rights.

Harambee Stars will definitely be looking forward to the big test after coming through a very tough group. Their win against Ghana at the Kasarani Stadium was perhaps the most crucial game on their journey to qualification.

We at CNYAKUNDI.COM wish them the very best!
