According to source privy to KEMRI 's operations, Kamau Mugenda, passed away on Sunday, August 9 after reportedly developing some complications.
Yesterday, KEMRI stated in a statement that it had lost Kamau Mugenda, the Director of Corporate Services. The cause of his death was not revealed. "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr Kamau Mugenda, Director of Corporate Services KEMRI. He was an astute leader of great foresight, courage & dedication. His professionalism & leadership has left an indelible mark in the history of KEMRI," KEMRI stated. Sources close to the director added that Mugenda passed away after suffering a short illness. The deceased allegedly complained of multiple stomach disorders for over two weeks.
