KANU is Back

In the last 7 days Kenya has been treated to a reckless,desperate innuendos from the failing jubilee government. In this period a record of two journalists have been fired for writing contents that didn't make the masters smile. The journalists are said to have been fired on ORDERS from the statehouse what a blow to press freedom. Inline, four bloggers have also been arrested for the now laughable clause of 'misusing telecommunications gadget' their offences making posts on the El Adde attack that didn't go well with the authority. These futile,backwardness moves meant to intimidate and muzzle the vocal minority and eventually cutting the information flow living the already muzzled mainstream media to be the main source of souped items. The government is coming out as desperate by the day to control the information flow a move that will take eternity to accomplish given communication advances the country currently holds. When one has a lot to hide then they'll go to desperate measures to withhold the information. Jubilee doesn't want us to ask how many of our brothers we lost in the El Adde attack,the extent of loss we incurred as taxpayers. The recent developments remind me of US military gay policy of don't ask don't tell. If anything,the government's move to filter news on the El Adde case has desperately failed and given the Shabaab a fields day pushing their propaganda,releasing photos and information through their various channels,literally owning the script. The government's communication strategists have flat ass failed in running and owning the script,giving the militants a swift way. Instead,the government is reverting to intimidating those raising concerns and giving factual information from their sources instead of doing their jobs right and fight Shabaab propaganda war. The days of being detained without trials,tactic that Kenyan dictator former president Moi used to dismember and demoralize his critics are back with us. Here is a system that craves for attention and want the country to be on a 'Ndio baba' mentality with zero criticism and praise songs infiltrating the air. Unlucky for them,Kenyans are now more critical,inquisitive,rebellious and there are unstoppable sons of the land who are putting their lives on the line today for the tomorrow's freedom. African proverb has it that,when a monkey's death day comes,all the trees in the forest becomes slippery. As we approach 2017 when Kenyans will once again stream to the ballot,jubilee is steadily losing grounds and desperately hanging on anything including holding unto water whilst drowning. The unfortunate moves to gag free expression ahead of 2017 is extremely suspicious as evil minds would easily use that to manipulate poll results without being deterred by the dissenting loud voices.
