Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Prof. George Magoha (pictured) has in some quarters been termed as highly overrated.
During his time at the helm of the University of Nairobi (UoN), Prof Magoha was touted as the best there is and ever will be, but even at that time, some people had questioned his leadership style.
The Professor also comes out as arrogant, and there's no greater display of that attribute than recently when he attended UoN graduation ceremony, where he told someone who wanted to tell him something, ' iko nini?o mbali kabisa'. https://twitter.com/Asmali77/status/1309888490721751040?s=20
That was arrogance per exellence.
And perhaps, there's another display that makes the allegations of Magoha being highly overrated true. That of how he has managed the Education Ministry. "hey, don't you know I have PhD and a 64 page CV, why are you sitting next to me, you illiterate" There's a media house that has written an article about him with adjectives such as consistent inconstitency. This is dues to his inconsistent messaging about reopening of schools.
It has attracted ridicule. Saddique Shaban disects Prof Magoha's character through one incident But perhaps, that is truly the man, an arrogant and incompetent buffoon.
