Intense suffering at Mt Kenya TV, Iganjo FM

Hi Nyakundi, All is not rosy at Mount Kenya TV and Iganjo FM, Media houses owned by Kirinyaga women representative after employees plot to tool down their equipment and go slow on operations after several months of unpaid salaries for the last four months. This month they have decided to lay off some staff  whom were sent home without a single penny. It is  sad to see that last year we filed Nil returns to KRA yet our pay as you earn money was being deducted from our salaries. Earlier this month, news anchors threatened to boycott work but they were given Ksh. 50,000 each and promised that they will be paid in a weeks’ time which didn’t happen. The other staff didn’t receive even a coin. Imagine four months in Nairobi, no salary, one has to go for work as bills and family await. All that Ngirici is thinking of is how to become the next Kirinyaga Governor yet her employees are being kicked out their houses. PAINFUL, PAY US AND FIRE US, that’s all we are asking. As you tangatanga do you know how many people are sleeping hungry,kicked out of the houses,and going through depression. We don’t want to know about TangaTanga or its Inua Mama The Ngirichi branded the initially unknown Kikuyu station Nyumba ya Mumbi and poached crème de crème from both Royal Media Service (Inooro TV and Radio) and Media Max station (Kameme TV and Radio). A source who has sought anonymity has said that they were promised heaven little to realize that their destiny to hell was being “cooked” Some of the reporters who had made a name while working with the former employee are reported to have left the stations (Kimadharau ) as they were promised double their salary. “I was approached by the politician to help him rebrand the station, the payment was good and I couldn’t resist, not that things are bad here but the competition is pushing us to the corner, there is no money to run the station,” the source state.
