A suspect is said to have been sent to the bank under the guise that he was assigned to service the ATM machine, he was, however, captured by security cameras wearing a hood covering his face as he ransacked the ATM for available cash.
He also applied a jelly on the CCTV camera to blur images.The detectives are trying to unmask the bank official from Nairobi who allegedly sent the suspect being sought in connection with the Friday incident.

Murang'a County Criminal Investigation Officer Juliana Muthini said a team of detectives have been assigned to probe the incident and bring culprits to book. Ms Muthini said it seems the culprit manipulated the computer systems to access the cash from the dispensing machine. "There is a team recording statements from the bank employees to help shed light on what could have transpired," she said. Statements The Standard learnt that the matter was brought to the attention of the police days after the money was stolen, and investigation kicked off targeting to smash the syndicate. On Tuesday, the detectives were in the bank recording further statements from employees with police interested in getting their movement after they closed for the day.
