I have been talking about this issue for many days and I swear Ill never go mute. At the end of the day, the truth must be known about what Bidco is doing in Uganda. I always say that truth will always win no matter how long it takes. Now, I have been analyzing various issues about the #BIDCOIsRotten and I feel that it is prudent I ask some fundamental questions.
According to my Analysis, All the allegations I have made against BIDCO so far put them in clear violation of its commitment to the UN Global Compact. BIDCO has pledged to uphold certain standards of Environment, Labour, Human Rights and Anti-corruption, the four pillars of UN Global Compact: Something they have generously ignored as will be revealed in my Part 1-25 Series. In fact, I have the Bidco 2014 submission to UN Global Compact here with me . Just about everything in this document could be disputed by stating the Cold facts that I have and based on the information that is with me. For example, a principle of UNGC is that "business should ensure that BIDCO are not complicit in human rights abuses". This makes Bidco's claim that it is merely leasing the land in Uganda (and didn't steal it from the farmers) completely moot. Bidco is complicit in the land grab and therefore has responsibility for its actions under the agreement it signed with UN Global Compact.
So from today I will be doing a series of articles challenging some of these issues to show that I had the cold facts in all my arguments .
The Series starts of Friday but this time I will be consistent but Campaign and Lobby so that @globalcompact can respond to all allegations I will raise against BIDCO .
If GlobalCompact is serious then Bidco MUST be kicked out of UN Global Compact, this will be a major, major embarrassment for Vimal and the company but a warning to other companies doing wrong things .
I also encourage the media poseurs fighting me to do their research and get their facts because this may embarrass them soon when the time comes- It will not be a small matter .
Let me insist , CNYAKUNDI.COM will always focus on the truth and expose corporations doing bad things . The time is now and the truth must be known even if the Big Boys invest a lot bucks in blackmail and media propaganda .
