IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati and ODM Leader Raila Odinga This morning, a typing error on a social media post published by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) sparked huge uproar from the Kenyan online community after they termed President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s pet project, the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), as the “Burning Bridges Initiative”. The commission made the rather strange error while announcing the launch of the BBI signature verification exercise at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday, December 30.
