News that DNA results have confirmed the body thought to be of ICC witness Meshack Yebei belongs to Yusuf Hussein have been received differently across the country. We dont know wether Yebei is alive OR Dead. In fact we want the first person to say that Yebei was dead to be interrogated because he seems to know something Kenyans dont know.
According to ICC prosecution, Yebei was one of the fellas who was bribing and intimidating ICC witnesses. His disappearance was also termed as that of the proverbial hyenas eating one of their own.According to witnesses, This is how Yebei disappeared IT IS SAID THE VEHICLE THAT WAS PARKED OUTSIDE THE GATE OF ST COLUMBUS PRIMARY SCHOOL NEAR TURBO HEALTH CENTRE HAD A PERSON SHOUT YEBEI’S NAME. THE VOICE CAME FROM THE VEHICLE WITH FOREIGN NUMBER PLATES. IT IS ALLEGED THAT WHEN YEBEI WENT TO THE VEHICLE, THE TWO GENTLEMEN CAME OUT WEARING DARK GOGGLES. FAMILY SOURCES SAY WHEN YEBEI RESPONDED TO THE CALL, ONE OF THE MEN PUNCHED AND PUSHED HIM INTO THE VEHICLE. THOSE WHO WITNESSED THE HAPPENINGS CLAIM THAT WHEN THEY ASKED WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, ONE OF THE MEN SHOUTED THAT HE HAD COLLAPSED AND THEY WERE TAKING HIM TO HOSPITAL. The first man to come out was Aden Duale with a section of Jubilee Mps. They then demanded that Activist Ken Wafula and Bensouda be investigated. Word has it that Yebei was a defense witness but threatened to re-establish links with ICC as a witness making some people feel uncomfortable- that is according to family members who also added that Yebei was promised a fortune that never was.
