Employees of Image Horizon Consultancy based in Westlands, Nairobi claim they have not been paid for work done.
“Last year November she (Ann Kiongo) contacted to do some job for her firm at NSSF. It was being done countrywide. We administered questionnaires to all NSSF branches and she was to pay us in next one month, we also helped her fill questionnaire for KRA. We worked till January but after the job ended in early January she has never paid us. She never communicates”.

Some individuals and firms take advantage of this to oppress them by offering jobs at low wages and then not paying at all, and get away with it. Anne Kiongo, the staff say, was just a junior employee, a supervisor. Image Horizon is owned by a Monica Ogot.
Ms Ogot is said to have blocked those who were asking for their pay.
“This lady has been hiring desperate graduates then use them in data collection and then don't pay. Like the last we worked on NSSF , from last year November we finished the work in second week of January and she has not paid us to date”, the staff member reiterated.
