The DPP further castigated the Senate for what he termed as overstretching its mandate after it declared on December 5, that governors were free to operate from anywhere apart from the office, referring to Justice Mumbi Ngugi's orders that county chiefs facing corruption charges were barred from accessing their headquarters. “The Senate has acted in disregard of the law. The Senate report for Waititu to disregard court orders and open a new office, being aware of the High Court orders and clear pronouncement is worrying,” remarked Haji. “All bodies must be ready for a ruthless war against any forms of crime to secure the future of our children.
