Ali Bunow Korane: Garissa County Governor,
On June 15th 2019 residents of Garissa County under Governor Ali Bunow Korane complained that their leader had paid a US-based Somali musician Dalmar Yare a whopping Ksh2 million for a 7-minute performance.
The year is 2020 and their cries seem to have fallen on deaf ears as it is now emerging that the Governor has done it again.
Infirmation reaching nyakundireport.com indicates that the corrupt governor, just like his Narok Counterpart, has splashed a massive Ksh3 million for a song in support of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) paid to the same musician Dalmar Yare.
The song which is sung in Somali states that the whole of North-Eastern counties is supporting BBI.
It seems all corrupt Governors must sing the tune of BBI or face the music of Ferdinand Waititu.
In Narok, Samuel Ole Tunai plans to spend Ksh400 million for the BBI event. A resident wrote: The hall mark of Governor Ali Bunow Korane (ABK) leadership 3 and a half year since he assumed reins of power is one that has been full of controversy and open day light robbery of tax payer’s money!
Shockingly again today the Governor after nursing hangovers due to chewing spree decided to do what he does best, he just paid Somali singer Dalmar Yare 3 million to perform at the BBI rally in Garissa in a fortnight!
Just last year ABK greased Dalmar’s esophagus by giving him Ksh2 million for a 7 minutes appearance!
Amidst all this conundrum the Garissa public whose resources have been squandered left right and centre are growing impatient despite the huge problems that have overburdened their shoulders and almost threatening their livelihoods!
