After our expose on how the rogue Urithi Housing Sacco grabs land and sells to unsuspecting buyers who then are left without requisite document to prove that they own the land; Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has summoned the corrupt management of the Sacco.
Urithi has been engaging in inhuman ways, collecting money from clients promising land and houses which never materialise.
We exposed the scam last month where people bought land from Urithi Sacco yet they did not receive title deeds even after asking for the same.
Some have not received their title deeds for as long as five years.
Urithi also engages in promising houses to buyers, yet the construction are delayed.
READ: [EXPOSÉ] Urithi Housing Cooperative Society Accused Of Scamming People A case in point is the stalled housing project christened Osteen Terrace in Joska-Kamulu. Buyers were promised that their houses will be complete in two years-time from 2016. We are in 2019 and the project has stalled.
This is the same Sacco that was found to be taking deposits from cients without a license by Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA).
In a twist of events, Kenyans have been fucked and left to dry, as SASRA is also culpable in the whole scheme of looting Saccos.
SASRA CEO John Mwaka and Commissioner for Cooperatives Development Ms. Mary Mungai take bribes from corrupt Sacco management to look the other way.
Recently, Urithi tried to influence us to pull down the posts we’ve made on this site exposing their corruption. We cannot be cowed.
Since our expose began, Urithi has also engaged in public relations to clean their tainted name through social and mainstream media campaigns. People should be very vigilant. Don’t buy this. DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.
Urithi members seem to be stupid, they are still trusting their money with these cons.
These are the same people who you will see lining up at Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) waiting to record statements on what has happened to their SACCO. The Governor, fearing that Urithi might also go down the Ekeza Sacco way, wants all Kiambu residents who have money in the Sacco compensated; their issues resolved.
The only problem is that Waititu loves bribes and might not solve the issues raised by customers of Urithi.
Kenyans should be people who engage in clean businesses. All we are asking people is that they should always demand accountability, transparency and good governance.
