This has been the case with Hellen Njoki, a former employee at the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) who was reportedly assaulted at her place of work in July 2020. To date, the case which was filed at the Nakuru Central Police Station has barely made any progress and the suspect, one Richard Ochieng remains on the loose. The victim alleges that her former bosses at GDC have colluded with the Nakuru Regional Police Commander to ensure the matter is swept under the carpet and never sees the light of day.
