The victim claims that medics at the health facility failed to promptly attend to the critically ill four-year-old who showed symptoms of bleeding from the urinary tract.
The incident took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 20, as she was busy at work.
Luckily, the girl was under the care of the housemaid, who rushed her to the hospital.
By the time she got there, they had only taken samples of her daughter's urine, but nobody was available to receive them for tests.
The resident doctor was locked up in her office.
To make matters worse, none of the nurses bothered to run any checkups on the patient.
She was forced to transfer her daughter to a different facility at her own personal cost. "Hi Cyprian. Kindly see if something is done about this. My daughter was ill and I told the house help to take her to AAR South C as I left work. On getting there she had blood in her urine. She took a sample. No one at the lab received the sample. I asked a staff member to call the doctor to examine my daughter in case anything had physically happened. Nothing went to reception. I went to the pediatric section. The doctor had closed herself inside and was on her phone. After complaining she didn't even bother coming to check on my daughter but instead sent her colleague who told the staff to ban me from the hospital. Like really! I went to Gertrudes and was treated within ten minutes. AAR South C you are a disgrace! And if a child isn't a priority! Shame on you! I'm so devastated. I have insurance, it's not even an issue! I'm so angry! What If something more had happened? I have the MTIBA messages from AAR and Gertrudes. The first one is from AAR. I even called the insurance to tell them but all they said is that they will not pay AAR without an invoice. Imagine your 4-year-old bleeding and the doctor isn't bothered? You find her in her office even after sending staff to call her! Like really? And that office you are going to call her is not in the main building! So I left my daughter in the toilet in pain," wrote the source.
