Speaking to us via e-mail, an insider within the state department specifically singled out one such lucky employee by the name of Dokatu Wako who is suspected to be one of the beneficiaries of rampant theft at SASDF.
The lady who is likely to be in her late 30s, is known to openly enjoy favours from Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed thanks to their close relationship that began immediately after Amina took over.
At the time, Dokatu Wako was simply an ordinary employee struggling to make ends meet at the bottom of the hierarchy.
But that quickly changed after she was placed under the minister's wings and eventually became her defacto assistant responsible for running dirty errands.
Acting as Amina's proxy, her duties are said to range from collecting bribes from contractors to threatening those that fail to do as per agreed terms.
She is also responsible for handling the minister's travel plans where flight tickets are strictly procured from Fly 748 which is reportedly owned by a relative of her boss.
Whenever unscrupulous deals have to be done, like paying off journalists, money is channelled through her account.
As always, such hard work is always handsomely paid.
Sources tell us that Dokatu Wako has been launching multiple personal construction projects which include a Sh30 million mansion recently built in the outskirts of Ruiru town. No media houses can report on this since through this lady they have captured SJAK (Sports Journalist Association of Kenya) their leadership led by Makori, Mike Okinyi and Alex Osaboke has all been compromised by some appointments and trips outside the country.
