It is sad, Turkana’s biggest town is Lodwar and this is where the operational airport is located.
Local Airlines have been competing for the Nairobi – Eldoret – Lodwar route for quiet sometime and it is sad that in this Northern dusty town, where the chances of getting a good job are very slim, a company should fall.

They have cancelled all flights from Lodwar since Monday and laid off all the staff at the station.
The only way to communicate with them is via 1 phone line which is manned by 1 person 24hrs.
They have let go all their sales staff / call centre and ground staff this weekend; the number is over 30 people.
Travel agents like us have been left footing the bills of rebooking passengers on other airlines since they have gone dark and are not responding to anything.
Everyone thinks Kenya Airways (KQ) will be the first to go to the grave but thesw guys are already there.
