Barasa accused Raila and the ODM party of propagating the same things the recently released Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report sought to bring an end to.
“He [Raila] has brought back all the chaos that the BBI is trying to eradicate. Although we are supporting the BBI. We should not advance the same ills the report is trying to stop,” he continued.
The legislature lost the hat in question when he was roughed up by youths during the Kibera by-elections on November 7.
Barasa had initially accused the Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati of inciting youths to attack him. A claim Arati denied. The two have since then mended fences.
Just days later, during the Thanksgiving ceremony that was held on November 11 at Kibera DC grounds, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed was seen wearing a hat similar to that of Barasa. The Two MPs Didmus Barasa and Simba Arati shaking hands on November 17, 2019 Junet Mohamed left the crowd in stitches when he told them that he had found the hat in Baba’s bedroom and promised to return it.
