Detectives arrest 68-year-old woman, seize suspected narcotics in Nairobi

• Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a 68-year-old woman and recovered substances suspected to be narcotic drugs during an operation targeting drug trafficking in Nairobi.
• A search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of several packages wrapped in polythene bags and clear cello tape containing dry green plant material suspected to be narcotic drugs.
• Detectives later extended the operation to House Number 04 at Mutete Flats, where they recovered additional green plant material suspected to be narcotics, along with packaging materials believed to have been used in wrapping the drugs.
• The suspect is being held at Muthaiga Police Station.
• Police said the seized exhibits were taken to DCI headquarters for safe custody and further processing as investigations continue.
