We the people!
We demand the department of immigration to deport Bob Collymore for the following reasons.
1). THAT as a mere CEO of a publicly-listed company, we believe that Bob Collymore has overstepped his mandate and engaged in matters that threaten the peace and harmony of Kenyans.
2). THAT he has used his position to sponsor/benefit initiatives that he has a vested or personal interest in unlike his Vodafone counterparts in other parts of the world.
3). THAT we as Kenyans are tired of seeing him in the mainstream media every so often, largely talking about nothing, despite the fact that Safaricom continues to rip-off Kenyans in expensive call/money-transfer/data charges. Bob Collymore has become an eye-sore.
4). THAT Bob Collymore has overseen the flagrant abuse of his platform to deny Kenyan youths whose intellectual property has been used without a fair financial recompense.
5). THAT Bob Collymore has used his dominant position to bribe his way into contracts regarding transmission of election-results and CCTV monitoring.
6). THAT Bob Collymore has traded his monopoly as regards to control of election-results for political-patronage with the head of state, under the guise that his oversight into these critical components can manipulate outcome of national polls.
7). THAT Bob Collymore oversaw the variation of costs from 14B to over 50B of the CCTV contracts, fast-tracked after staged terror-attacks meant to fear monger and influence ICC proceedings.
8). THAT we believe Bob Collymore is sharing private users details with Government agencies keen on spying and monitoring the activities of the opposition and percieved dissidents.
9). THAT Bob Collymore has used his dominant position to undermine competition by compromising members of the Communication Authority of Kenya and the relevant Parliamentary Committee's to stall registration of new entrants like Equitel's thin-sim technology.
10). THAT a former senior manager at Safaricom Nzioka Waita was employed as a secretary under the presidency is one of the most bizzare appointments in recent times, fuelling speculation that they plan on altering the outcome of the forthcoming general elections.
11). THAT Bob Collymore has been accused of wrecking someone's home contrary to African traditions and culture.
12). THAT Bob Collymore embarked on two citizen-driven fundraising initiatives #Kenyans4Kenya and #BringZackBack which have been questionable and seen to benefit his cabal of friends including Julie Gichuru, Jeff Koinange, Abbas Gullet, Alykhan Satchu and GinaDin Kariuki.
13). THAT Bob Collymore has overseen patronage in the awarding of tenders at Safaricom, choosing to engage only providers who will guarantee his senior managers commissions despite their comfortable pay-packages.
14). THAT Bob Collymore's continued stay in Kenya poses a great risk to national security, and his continued closeness with one side of the country's political divide will be misconstrued as Vodafone's complicity. That in the event of citizen action like the Egyptian revolution, there is widespread fear that Bob Collymore will disrupt communication hindering "The People's" ability to communicate and mobilise.
15). THAT this petition represents the views of the vast majority of Kenyans, other than the few direct beneficiaries of Safaricom who due to proximity to Bob Collymore have minted millions.
