In the viral piece published on Thursday, May 26, this author comprehensively relayed how a trusted insider within the government body raised concerns after board members approved the employment of 62-year-old CPA Maina Njoroge in total breach of all laid down codes and guidelines.
Mr Njoroge, who is the immediate former CEO at the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), was initially shortlisted as a Commissioner for SRC but later appointed to the nonexistent position of Director of Finance, Planning and Resource Mobilization after compromising the Chairperson of the PSC Board, Ambassador Anthony Mwaniki Muchiri, into looking the other way.

This time around, some disturbing quarters have once again fingered the disgraced board for engaging in dishonest backdoor dealings at the expense of proper service delivery to taxpayers.
It now turns out that the crooked PSC officials are the same hoodlums wreaking havoc at the Kenya Vision 2030 Board by irregularly enlisting tired geezers like Judith Oketch and Ada Mwangola, who are both over 60 years old and struggling to perform their duties.
This is largely unsurprising, bearing in mind that the current Director-General of the PSC, Mr Kenneth Mwige, is rumoured to have snapped the lucrative position without meeting all necessary qualifications as gazetted by the state.
The mandatory requirements include a degree in finance, economics, business or public administration, all of which he lacks. Just as we reported in April 2022 , they say staff at PSC are suffering in silence from constant threats and intimidation from Mr Mwige as he continues to milk the organization dry through fraudulent procurement practices.
He often brags about how he enjoys deep connections within various state agencies like the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) where he once served as Personal Assistant (PA) to former boss Justice Aaron Ringera and DPP Noordin Hajji's office.
Someone has reliably tipped us that Mr Mwige recently went for an unapproved trip to Israel with Ada Mwangola, his girlfriend Flora and some other guy named Fred from the ICT Department, where they spent over Sh6m public money. It is sad because these are the same PSC officials who are members of the Board of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat where they have employed staff like Judith Oketch who is over 60 years and allowed Ada Mwangola, also over 60 years, to continue working yet we have many young Kenyans who are jobless. The same PSC has also recruited an unqualified person to be the Director-General as the current holder, Kenneth Mwige, does not meet the qualifications set in the gazette notice Vol. CXI—No. 15. He does not have a degree in finance, economics, business or public administration. No wonder he runs the Secretariat like personal property. Staff are threatened and intimidated to silence as he loots the organization through fraudulent procurement practices. Recently, he went on an unapproved trip to Israel with Ada, his girlfriend Flora, and Fred the ICT manager. They spent over Kes 6 million public money. He claims he is untouchable even by EACC as he was once the PA to Justice Ringera and he was also a PA to the DPP Noordin Haji. Staff have reported to the EACC but no investigations have been done. The Board is pocketed because they benefit from his corrupt proceedings. Some of those board members are so cheap he bribes them with a lift in his vehicle," the source writes.
