The corrupt Industry, Trade and Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya has been linked to another scandal, months after he lost a four-year court battle after the Court of Appeal, gave Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) consent to investigate him.
The court ruled last year that CS Munya will be investigated on alleged procurement malpractices that took place during his tenure as the Meru County boss.
According to our source from the Kenya Bureau of Standards, the rogue CS is being accused of disregarding the Kebs board in an appointment that he was supposed to make.
Our source from the board confirmed to us that Kebs advertised for the positions in March and there were interviews on March 13th. The aftermath of the interviews was three names taken to the rogue CS to appoint one, and this is where games started playing.
Using the name of the president maliciously, Peter Munya was overheard lamenting that none of the three submitted names comes from the GEMA community hence appointing even one of them would be an impossibility.
