The National Environmental Management Authority officials are always seen moonlighting the Twyford Ceramics Offices at the end of every month to collect their bribe to turn a blind eye on the pollution.
In 2018, The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) froze bank accounts of the Kenyan-based Chinese tile manufacturer over tax evasion and money laundering. Documents filed in court revealed that KRA had blocked the Chinese company’s access to two local bank accounts.
