Today, the Twitter hashtag #KenyaUnderRuto trended for the better part of the day, cementing the narrative that Ruto is the devil incarnate. This is among the many hashtags that have been run against the deputy president by Cambridge Analytica machineries, the same company Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta hired to do the dirty work for them. According to the Washington Post, The company mined Kenyan voters’ data to help President Uhuru Kenyatta win disputed elections. The firm also did “two rounds of 50,000 surveys.” The same company that helped DP Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta stay in power is now flipping the script against the deputy president.
