There has been drama at BritaniaLimited since Monday after workers set camp at the company premises demanding to be paid before leaving the premises.
All workers have not been paid for the last three months. Those that we spoke to blamed the management for ignoring their plight even as many struggles to put food on their tables, pay rent and even sustain themselves.
The current MD a Mr Dipark Shah who never appears on the premises and never available for workers yesterday just appeared for 10 mins in the company and left after bribing police officers who had been called by the management to kick out staffers who had spent a night at the premises.
"Each time he is called by the financial and HR department he says he is on lunch for the whole day and sends text msgs that he will call later, until the day ends" This man is a conman, he doesn't care about us, laments one worker. " This is a heartless old old man with white hair lying to his staff. He doesn't understand things like renting cause he resides in Muthaiga" adds another worker.
" We want our 3months salary, get paid our services, leave days and notices and resign because this company is going under, we don't want their job anymore, we are fed up"
Britania has been struggling since the exit of Robert Kagundah who looted the company to the ground and made Britania the centre for corruption and tribalism.
