Enraged residents of Buruburu Phase 2 in Nairobi County have called for authorities to take appropriate legal action against a rogue contractor who failed to properly dispose of the rubble that was excavated during road repairs. The firm registered as "Bizrate Enterprises" was brought in by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) to re-carpet the Oldonyo Lengai Road. But the owner saw a rare opportunity to make a quick buck by pocketing part of the exorbitant disposal fees which he had billed to the General Badi-led entity. As a result, he dumped all the construction waste on the previously well-manicured lawns and fences which house owners say they had spent time and money to create.
