Since he assumed power, Baringo Central MP Joshua Kandie was seen as a savior by the constituents who had suffered for long in the hands of oppression by the former regime.
They never knew that the celebrations and joy could only last for a short period of time after the election results which were never anticipated that he will be the ultimate winner.
MP Kandie has been busy going round the constituency with donations from his German friends in a way which was seen as blind folding residents so that they cannot unearth his evil deeds.
News concerning the allocation of tenders to his relatives without following the right procedures of procurement have been on the rise of late.
Kapsogo Primary/Secondary Day Schools is one case study of his undercover dealings when it comes to tendering.
It has been revealed that his first cousin Ambrose Kandie has been awarded the contract of constructing three classes so far without tendering using CDF monies and proxy companies.
This has been a thorn in the flesh of the residents of Baringo Central who were yearning for a better leadership from the said Kandie.
As if that's not enough, Mr Ambrose still owns the title deed of the land where the school has been built, several years after being compensated with over 10 acres of land in Mochongoi.
Rumor has it also that a total of Shs 2M has been allocated for the buying of extra land for the school which he will also be the beneficiary.
It is said that if asked to surrender the title deed, he demands for fresh compensation, complicating the whole issue.
To inflict more pain, a borehole which was dug using the CDF funds meant to benefit the community was dug in his land meters away from the school.
Residents now fear that he might one day change his mind and fence off the water source since it is in his land.
"We are foreseeing a situation when this school will be privatised if this trend is allowed to continue. This is a public registered school and if it is private why should they use public money to construct it" paused a resident who spoke under the condition of anonymity.
The concerned resident questioned why neighboring Porowonin Primary School gets zero allocation of CDF year in year out.
He called for a quick injunction to stop the construction of extra facilities in the school until the title deed is surrendered to the school.
