The State has filed documents in court that show how Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua irregularly received Sh5.8 billion, in funds from companies or business entities providing services to ministries, state agencies, and county governments in his private accounts in seven years. This would mean that the lawmaker was making an average of Sh2.3 million a day. The court has now frozen his accounts at Rafiki Micro Finance bank for a period of 90 days, the accounts hold about Sh200 million. Hon Gachgua has three accounts at Rafiki Microfinance Bank under his name. A firm by the name Wamunyoro Investment associated with him also has two accounts while the third is Technical Supplies and Services Kenya Limited. Following the recent case...
