Yesterday, we exposed how staff at the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) are scamming unsuspecting Kenyans.

I am also a victim.
I was almost conned by these guys from KPLC. They told me that they were proposing to install a transformer on my land for 15 years and pay me Kshs. 1.5 million.
When I told them this was too little, they adjusted to Kshs. 2.5 million and said that mine was Kshs. 2 million and once the deal goes through, I should give them Kshs. 500K.
This sounded good for me.
But as we continued with the discussion, they told me that for things to go smoothly, I should give them at least Kshs. 50k for the wazee s who are discussing the project. This was on a Saturday. This is when I became suspicious.
When I looked keenly on the email, I noticed that the they had used a Gmail account. Immediately, I knew this was not KPLC despite them calling from KPLC.
I told them that I was not ready to pay them anything until I get the payment as they had proposed; this is when they disconnected the phone.

Before the 2017 elections, KPLC was sending exorbitant electricity to customers in a bid to raise funds for the Jubilee Campaign.
Is this a new scheme to raise money for 2022 general elections?
Since we exposed this, KPLC has not written to us to explain what is happening, leaving us with only one conclusion, They are culpable.
KPLC became a cash cow for the few Kikuyus and Kalenjins.
