You would think that this is Beijing China, but this is a picture of one of the workstations of SGR Kenya In a hearing held on 19th June 2020, a staff of Africa Star Operation Company Limited (Afristar), was put to task over what the company termed as false information that revealed the discrimination and mistreatment. Afristar, formed in May 2017, is the company contracted to run the passenger and freight trains on the newly built Standard Gauge Railways (SGR) by the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC). Afristar is partly owned by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), a State-owned Chinese company with Kenyan offices, the other owners are shadowy and mysterious.
