Peter Kiilu & Carol Wanini: The Assistant Slave Masters And Top Oppressors At Von Hotpoint
Newsroom Updated 2 min read
Von Hotpoint cannot twist reality. THis is another infrmation concerning the mistreatment of workers at the company.
Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) under billionaire Francis Atwoli continues to sleep on the job.
Hi Nyakundi,
There are so many disheartening things so I'll write as I remember one by one... Yes there are Africans in supervisory positions, the inhuman HR manager, Mr. Peter Kiilu aside, there's an Assistant Branch manager called Carol Wanini who has won the hearts of the Indian masters by Harassing Junior employees and anyone else who falls under her "jurisdiction". She screams at employees and harassment is a hobby to her.
It has really worked for her as the Indians keep her close as she tells them who's worth it and who isn't.
Who can blame her though, she's in an environment where that's the norm…where you are to shit on those beneath you, speaks volumes about her character as a person but you'd hope that she'd want to create a better work environment for her "kind".
However, that's Hotpoint for you, they call it a "hot" place...and they're proud of it…as long as you get paid, you take all that's thrown at you...The fact that you're a human being is your own problem.
I hope more people speak out, and I hope COTU and other bodies launch investigations.
Thank you for giving us the platform to speak out.
