The Kenya Airports Authority PLC (KAA) has announced delays affecting some departing flights at its airports, although the authority has not disclosed the cause of the disruptions.
In a statement issued on Sunday, KAA said it was working with aviation agencies, airlines and other stakeholders to manage the situation and minimise disruption to airport operations.
“Kenya Airports Authority PLC wishes to advise passengers and other airport users that some departing flights are currently experiencing delays at our airports,” the authority said.
KAA urged passengers to contact their respective airlines for the latest information on flight schedules and status before travelling to the airport.
Travellers were also advised to plan their journeys accordingly as efforts continue to restore normal operations.
The authority apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked passengers and other airport users for their patience and understanding as the situation is addressed.
KAA said it would issue further updates as more information becomes available.
