Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has publicly made a sexually suggestive joke about priesthood shortly after his younger sister, Patience Kokundeka Museveni Rwabwogo, was consecrated as an Episcopal Bishop.
Recently, Gen Muhoozi had an exchange with Kenyan influential Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi where Nyakundi nicknamed him, Little Sperm Muhoozi.
The recent attack tweet from Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces to his blood sister draws attention to how unserious Muhoozi is about family and the inappropriate way of responding to a major religious milestone at home.
Patience was consecrated as an Episcopal Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda and beyond on Sunday, August 23, 2026, during celebrations marking 20 years of the ministry. The ceremony took place at Covenant Hill in Maya and was attended by President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, alongside senior religious leaders and members of the family.
The consecration marked a major moment in Patience’s religious journey, which has stretched back about two decades. She founded Covenant Nations Church as a small house fellowship before the ministry grew into a wider Christian organisation, eventually leading to her elevation to the episcopal office.
Rather than keeping the conversation focused on his sister’s new religious responsibility, Muhoozi took to X on Tuesday, August 25, where he congratulated her before turning the occasion into a sexually suggestive joke.
“I can NEVER be a priest. I love the other things of women too much,” Muhoozi wrote, accompanied by a smiling emoji and a photograph of himself dressed in an AI made clerical attire.
The remark quickly attracted attention because it came only two days after his sister had been consecrated. While Muhoozi appeared to be making a joke about himself and his inability to embrace celibate religious life, the timing and wording have led to criticism that he was publicly mocking the religious path his sister has chosen.
Muhoozi had initially congratulated Patience, describing her as his “baby sister” and praising her consecration as well deserved. He also said that she shares several attributes with him and prayed that Jesus Christ would bless her and her children, while promising that she would always be protected under him.
The contradiction between the congratulatory message and the subsequent sexual joke has now become the centre of attention, particularly because Patience’s elevation was not an overnight development.
She has spent around 20 years in Christian ministry, meaning her consecration represents the culmination of a long religious career rather than a sudden decision to become a church leader.
The episode has also revived questions about the complicated public dynamics surrounding Uganda’s powerful Museveni family.
Muhoozi is the country’s Chief of Defence Forces and one of the most prominent figures in Uganda’s political and military establishment, while his sister has built her public identity around Christian ministry.
There have also been reports and commentary about tensions involving Muhoozi and his brother in law, Odrek Rwabwogo, although there is no verified evidence that the latest social media post was directly connected to those disputes.
Muhoozi’s absence from the public accounts of Patience’s consecration had already attracted attention.
For many observers, however, the immediate issue is simpler. Patience had just been elevated to the position of bishop after years of ministry, and her brother chose to publicly discuss his own sexual interest in women while joking about why he could never become a priest.
The post may have been intended as humour, but coming immediately after a major family religious celebration, it has inevitably shifted attention from Patience’s achievement to her brother’s provocative comment.
