Narok secondary school teacher David Kipino Nkalo has been recognised for publishing 20 books in 2026, earning what the report describes as a world record for the number of original books published within the year.

Nkalo says the achievement followed years of hardship, including a long period without a salary, and that he taught himself much of the publishing process, including writing, editing, formatting, ISBN registration and copyright procedures.

His books cover a wide range of subjects, including education, religion, inspiration, environment and conservation, and he says he plans to continue publishing while mentoring other writers.
