ODM has outlined policy demands it wants addressed as the party prepares for possible negotiations with President William Ruto’s UDA ahead of the 2027 election.

The party is pushing for stronger devolution, equitable sharing of national resources, social protection, zoning arrangements and commitments on governance and development.

ODM chairperson Gladys Wanga says the party will enter negotiations with an open mind while insisting that any agreement must reflect ODM’s policy priorities and political interests.

The proposed talks are likely to shape the future of the broad-based government arrangement and could influence ODM’s position on whether to field its own presidential candidate in 2027.
