Kenya Airports Authority has reported a sharp drop in profit for the year to June 2025, with earnings falling to about Sh3.8 billion as revenues and passenger-related charges weakened.

The decline was linked to reduced income from passenger service charges, foreign-exchange movements and other airport-related revenues, despite continued traffic through major facilities.

KAA is simultaneously under pressure to finance upgrades at airports, including Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, while dealing with ageing infrastructure and growing operational demands.
