The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is mourning the death of Silas Cheboi, its Assistant Director for Surveillance and Enforcement.

EPRA announced his death on August 13, describing it as a profound loss to the authority, colleagues and those who worked with him.

Cheboi was remembered for his dedication, professionalism and integrity in carrying out EPRA’s mandate.

The authority extended condolences to his family, friends and colleagues during the difficult period.

His burial arrangements have been finalised. Cheboi will be laid to rest at his Solian home in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, on August 15, 2026.

EPRA said the burial will bring together family, colleagues and well-wishers to honour his memory.
