Overnight: Kaguchia remained inside the Royal Media Services premises, saying officers were waiting outside to detain him once he left the building.

Monday morning: Senator Richard Onyonka accompanied Kaguchia as he left the studio, with detectives positioned outside the media house.

Moments later: Detectives arrested Kaguchia outside the Royal Media Services studios and placed him inside a police vehicle.

After the arrest: A senior police officer reportedly directed that the MP be produced before he was driven away, with his lawyers beginning efforts to establish where he would be held.

Reason for arrest: The arrest is linked to investigations into political remarks attributed to Kaguchia, which critics described as threatening and capable of inciting supporters ahead of the 2027 General Election.
