Absa Bank Kenya CFO Yusuf Omari has taken over as interim CEO following the resignation of Abdi Mohamed, who exits after three years at the helm.

His departure comes at a time when the bank has been facing growing customer complaints over poor services, alongside insider fraud scandals that have raised fresh questions about internal controls and accountability.
