Rigathi Gachagua bloggers think calling someone NIS is still a serious political attack, yet most of them do not even understand how NIS works beyond the village gossip they recycle on X.
They are very late to this tired script because people tried the same stupid tactic in 2014, 2015 and 2016, throwing around cheap labels and wild claims hoping Nyakundi would panic, explain himself or lose his audience.
Those petty labels may scare small bloggers who survive on begging for recognition, but they cannot defame Nyakundi because his audience does not follow him for moral perfection or approval from political praise singers.
People do not care what Nyakundi eats, who he talks to, where he sits, who he meets, or whether he tweets while pooping, naked, angry, bored or laughing at political fools.
They care about the information, the timing, the leaks, the noise, the pressure and the fact that politicians and their bloggers still spend the whole day reacting to him.
These boys behave like hyenas following a a person walking and throwing hands, hoping it will fall so they can finally get a meal, because they imagine that by shouting “NIS” every day, people will suddenly stop trusting Nyakundi and start trusting them instead.
They should also remember my 2019 post very well because even then people were saying Nyakundi was finished without Twitter when I was suspended for 5 years, yet the lesson was simple and brutal, when someone has sources, content and people who keenly follow the information, he can post from anywhere even from a toilet and people will still read.
I found it interesting to respond to this for educational purposes, so that the next group of political errand boys can learn why old smear tactics no longer work.
That is the part these Gachagua bloggers hate most because the usual smear tactics do not work on someone whose brand was never built on looking clean for politicians.
At the end of the day, information is the commodity and if you keep dishing out the commodity, people won’t even care where you are sharing it from even if it is toilet.
