The High Court has dismissed an application by Jackson Kihara Gachucha, a man who claims to be the son of the late Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua, seeking a review of his 20-year sentence for robbery with violence.

The court termed the application an abuse of the judicial process, effectively upholding the jail term. Gachucha, who is also reported to be a nephew of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, will continue serving his sentence after the bid for relief failed.
