Ngititas to lose proceeds of NYS II scandal

Judge Mumbi Ngugi of the High Court of Kenya has ruled that five properties and three motor vehicles owned by the Ngiritas family be forfeited to the state.

She dismissed claims that the over Sh300 million deposited in their accounts was rightfully deposited by NYS.

Investigations discovered that the funds were not rightfully deposited and the high end property they bought during the time were proceeds from NYS II scandal-court where billions were looted through fraudulent deals.

Toyota station wagon (KCH 753U) owned by Phylis Njeri Ngirita and Opportunity international WEDCO limited, KCH 600H Toyota station wagon owned by Lucy Wambui Ngirita and Platinum Credit limited and a KCH 889M Toyota pickup registered under Jeremiah Gichina Ngirita and Platinum Limited will now be forfeited to the State.

Other properties the family acquired through proceeds of the NYS include a parcel of land in Waitaluk in Kitale that measures 0.70 hectares that is registered in the name of Sylvia Ajiambo Ongoro.

Ngirita's shoddy dealings with the National Youth Service (NYS) saw them shoot to financial stardom that changed the life of Anne Ngirita and their entire family after they supplier 'air' to NYS.

Ann Ngirita is now being mentioned among some big names, including Public Service Principal Secretary Lillian Mbogo Omollo and NYS Director-General Richard Ndubai.
